New venue and dates for AYNS23

The fourth African Youth Nuclear Summit (AYNS23) initially organized under the theme “Nuclear Energy: A Vista of the Future”, by African Young Generation in Nuclear (AYGN) in partnership with the Egyptian Young Generation in Nuclear (EYGN), from August 13 to 17, 2023 in Egypt, will now take place in Nairobi, Kenya from October 23 to 26, 2023.

A lot of effort has gone into planning of this event since the end of last year. However, due to logistical challenges experienced by the local organizers in Egypt, the Executive Board of AYGN have decided to host AYNS23 in Nairobi, Kenya as a matter of urgency.

This large-scale event will be organized in partnership with the Kenyan Young Generation in Nuclear

(KYGN with the support of the Kenyan government and key nuclear stakeholders. The event is expected to be graced by high-level guests from the African governments, agencies and departments, civil society and non state actors. The event will be in hybrid mode, those wishing to participate are invited to submit their applications here.

The program includes keynote speeches, plenary sessions, workshop sessions, mentoring sessions, social activities and many more. Many participants from around the African continent ranging from industry leaders and government officials to young professionals and academics are expected. Thus, participation in AYNS23 is particularly encouraged. Candidates selected to present their papers at the summit will remain the same and will be contacted imminently.
